We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle DBA to join Enterprise Technology team, focused on optimizing mission-critical Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments and supporting future ERP roadmap. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle RAC, GoldenGate, Data Guard, Fusion Middleware, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), along with strong automation skills using Terraform, Ansible, Shell.
You will lead initiatives in database engineering, cloud migration, automation, and high availability architecture, with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and resilience. Your ability to troubleshoot across the full stack—from Linux/Unix OS to middleware and database layers—will be essential.
This role includes participation in quarterly releases and occasional after-hours support, serving as an escalation point for critical incidents. You’ll also contribute to documentation, KPI reporting, and cross-functional collaboration, while mentoring junior team members and staying current with evolving Oracle technologies.
As a Senior Oracle DBA, you will…
Provision and audit database access; apply security and backup/recovery procedures. Coordinate infrastructure needs (storage, computer, network) for provisioning. Automate database and application builds and maintains scripts to reduce manual effort. Support patching, updates, and critical fixes across environments. Document test procedures and maintain operational runbooks. Monitor and tune performance (memory, CPU, indexing). Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues across tiers. Serve as an escalation point for incidents and root cause analysis. Translate business and technical requirements into scalable database solutions. Contribute to technical design, implementation planning, and support models. Collaborate on infrastructure and application projects. Stay current with emerging database technologies and releases. Recommend improvements to architecture, tooling, and automation. Consult on database and middleware offerings for evolving needs. Maintain knowledge base articles and support documentation. Assist in KPI reporting, trend analysis, and remediation tracking. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues. Guide junior DBAs and engineers including service providers on best practices. Contribute to team planning and prioritization. Engage with vendors and stakeholders to support delivery.We’d love to hear from people with:
Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible. 4+ years supporting Oracle EBS R12 and Oracle RAC. Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – DBA or EBS track. Experience with EBS on OCI or hybrid cloud environments. Exposure to OCI (compute, storage, networking, ATP). 8+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments. Strong expertise in Oracle GoldenGate and Data Guard. Proficiency in Oracle Fusion Middleware administration. Advanced skills in RMAN, OEM, SQL/PLSQL, and Shell scripting. Solid understanding of Linux/Unix system administration. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across the stack.
