Key responsibilities for this role include:
• MongoDB Strategy and Design: Defining MongoDB strategy, designing the architecture (data models, sharding, replication, indexing), evaluating tools and technologies, and providing expert guidance on architecture patterns and optimization.
• Implementation & Management: Deploying and managing MongoDB instances, implementing data governance, designing and maintaining secure APIs, optimizing read/write operations, and implementing backup, recovery, and security measures.
• Performance & Optimization: Analyzing performance, identifying bottlenecks, implementing solutions, monitoring clusters, and staying updated on best practices.
• Mentorship & Collaboration: Acting as a technical advisor, collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring team members, and communicating complex concepts effectively.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of professional experience, including a strong software development background.
• Expertise in MongoDB architecture (replica sets, sharded clusters, data distribution, indexing, replication).
• Experience designing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in data modeling, schema design, query optimization
• Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Ops Manager, Prometheus, and Grafana.
