Key Responsibilities
· Design, analyze, and maintain relational database structures to support business applications and analytics needs.
· Develop, review, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and scripts to ensure high performance and scalability.
· Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning and optimization strategies.
· Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through validation, constraints, and data quality checks.
· Support database deployments and changes across development, staging, and production environments, following Jabil change management processes.
· Collaborate with developers to review database-related code and ensure adherence to architectural and coding standards.
· Implement and maintain database security, access controls, and compliance with data protection policies. Keep database technology updated according to the approved version baseline.
· Document database designs, data models, and technical standards to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.
· Provide support and troubleshooting for database-related incidents and service requests.
· Monitoring and managing storage capacity and scalability.
· Installing new database software and configuring system parameters for optimal performance. Apply software updates and security patches to fix bugs and protect the system against vulnerabilities
Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Strong proficiency in SQL and database concepts (tables, indexes, joins, constraints, transactions).
· Experience working with MS SQL Server 2019/2022, Postgres, MySQL , or similar platforms.
· Solid understanding of database design principles, normalization, and performance tuning (index maintenance, update statistics, execution plans, etc)
· Experience supporting high availability, failover clusters, backup/restore tasks, utilization of diagnostics tools.
· Familiarity with Windows 2022 server, Storage Area Network and AWS Cloud Computing.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish)
