Apply Job Type Full-time Description Manage, maintain, and optimize databases hosted on AWS RDS, GCP SQL, and Linux virtual machinesEnsure MySQL 8.0+ and MariaDB 11 databases are performant, scalable, and secureMonitor and troubleshoot replication, backup, and performance issues (CPU, memory, I/O)Create and maintain indexes; tune SQL queries and advise developers on best practicesDesign and implement robust disaster recovery and backup strategiesWrite and maintain Shell scripts (required) for automation and alerting, Python a strong plusMonitor and improve MySQL replication lag and overall system reliabilitySupport compliance efforts including PCI, PII, and other regulatory or industry standards relevant to the company's operations Assist with deployment of schema and data change scriptsHandle Snowflake data integrations and support internal ETL workflowsCollaborate with internal teams and occasionally assist with external ticket resolutions Requirements 5+ years of DBA experience in production environmentsStrong knowledge of MySQL 8.0+, MariaDB 11, and MySQL replicationAdvanced Shell scripting skills (required)Experience with AWS RDS, GCP SQL, and Linux-based virtual machinesStrong Unix/Linux administration backgroundUnderstanding of performance tuning and query optimization techniquesAbility to work in a 24x7 support model and participate in on-call rotationsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsPython scripting experience preferredExperience with Snowflake, FiveTran, or custom ETL pipelines preferredFamiliarity with SQL Server preferredExposure to highly regulated or PCI-compliant environments preferredScheduling for this role is on site for the first 3 months; schedule will be re-evaluated thereafter
