The Database Administrator will provide support in database capacity planning, installation, configuration, design, migration, performance monitoring, security, and troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery.

Post secondary certificate, diploma or degree in computer science or related field. A suitable combination of education and experience may be considered.Minimum of five (5) years of experience creating and administrating complex databases in an enterprise environment.Significant work experience in the technology field as a Database Administrator.Strong technical proficiency, troubleshooting skills and operational knowledge of hosting technology in a corporate data center environmentExtensive experience and operational knowledge of hosting technology in a corporate data centre environment.Experience with RDBMS performance monitoring and tuning: closely monitoring performance; identifying problems and implementing solutions; while ensuring the database is running at optimum speed and efficiency.Experience applying tools, techniques and processes related to change management, configuration management, capacity management and availability management.Experience working with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex issues to internal and external stakeholders.Strong analytical or problem solving skills.Experience working with the following RDBMS': Microsoft MS SQL Server and Sybase ASEAbility to provide data migration support and data migration effort for complex multi-location sitesAbility to adapt to change in dynamically evolving situationsAbility to work in a team environmentExcellent customer service skillsExperience with T-SQL and MS RDBMS with experience in DB Triggers, Views and Stored Procedure Programming and database optimizationExcellent communication, collaboration, organizational and problem solving skillsExperience with MS SQL server and SAP Sybase ASECriminal record check is required
