ManTech seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented **Data Visualization Analyst Journeyman** to join our innovative team in **Ashburn, VA** . This is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote. Each day U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) oversees the massive flow of people, capital, and products that enter and depart the United States via air, land, sea, and cyberspace. The volume and complexity of both physical and virtual border crossings require the application of “big data” solutions to promote efficient trade and travel. Further, effective solutions help CBP ensure the movement of people, capital, and products are legal, safe, and secure. **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Collect, clean, process, and organize large datasets from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, flat files) ensuring data accuracy and integrity. + Perform exploratory data analysis using statistical techniques to identify significant trends, patterns, correlations, and anomalies. + Develop and implement interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools (like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik) to track key performance indicators and model metrics. + Complete project tasks which include data collection, mining, data and text analytics, clustering analysis, pattern recognition and extraction, automated classification and categorization, and entity resolution to implement and enhance automated risk assessment. + Construct data engineering scripts and processes to support recurring ad hoc requests, AI/ML development, and reports. + Contribute to the development and enforcement of data governance standards. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Education Qualifications in data science, information technology, computer science, business analytics, economics, statistics or mathematics: + Associates degree and 4-13 years’ experience, + BS and 2+ years’ experience, + MS and 0-5 years’ experience, or + PHD and 0-3 years’ experience. + Experience working as a Data Visualization Analyst or in a similar role. + Strong proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases and performing data extraction and manipulation. + Experience using data visualization and business intelligence tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik. + Proficiency using Python and related packages for development and analysis. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Proficiency in a programming language commonly used for data analysis, such as Python (with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) or R. + Knowledge or experience with data wrangling, cleansing, and machine learning development processes. + Experience with statistical analysis techniques and tools (e.g., regression, hypothesis testing, clustering). + Familiarity with cloud data platforms and services (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Databricks). + Knowledge of data warehousing principles and Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes. + Experience working within an Agile development environment. **Clearance Requirements:** + Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a CBP suitability. **Physical Requirements:** + The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
