Job Title: Data Steward Location: Rahway, NJ Pay Range: $35 - $40.75/hr Type: Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent Responsibilities + Creation and validation of documentation from multiple sources to develop data dictionaries and business process flows. + Will perform data analysis and support the identification, development and tracking of data quality measures. + Build an understanding and document the data flow, from its source to where it is reported and analyzed. + Manage the Strategic Tender Dashboard process, feeding and quality analysis. + Manage new data initiatives and related projects by defining high-level business case. + Providing requirements and tracking and prioritizing data projects within domain. Requirements: + BS preferred. + 3-5 years of experience as a Data Steward or Quality Analyst. + Experience with data analysis, data governance, data standards, business data modeling, metadata, data quality, and/or reporting processes and tools. + Experience with data design, data audit, data governance, and IT a plus. + Experience in performance management metrics. + Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements. + Knowledge of data sources, transformation rules, and the use of the data for the area of stewardship. + Ability to work across multiple sources of information, including documentation and stakeholders, to gather and validate information + Strong communication, both speaking and writing + Strong organizational skills + Ability to track and present progress on a regular cadence. + Schedule and lead working sessions. + Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite . + Ability to execute analysis of data sets to identify impacts to business processes.
