PURPOSE

To support accurate data collection and to organise and maintain structured data from various sources. The Data Specialist will assist the team with reporting and visualisation through dashboards, BI tools, and presentations, using cross-functional data obtained from sales, marketing, and other departments. This role provides insights that support high-quality, data-driven decisions through advanced data modelling techniques and interpretation of key findings. Additionally, the position is responsible for ensuring that data is regularly cleaned and remains compliant with data governance requirements to minimise errors and inaccuracies.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES: 

Degree in a relevant field such as Business Informatics, Computer Science or similar, with a strong foundation in data analytics.  Minimum of 5 years' experience in data analytics, governance, and proficiency in data modelling techniques. Proficiency using Power BI and other analytical tools. Valid code B/BE driver’s license Experience in the FMCG industry is advantageous.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Provide support in the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyse business functions, key operations and performance metrics through accurate data collection and analytical techniques. Use statistical methods to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and outliers to support segmentation, forecasting, and evaluation insights.  Translate complex technical results into clear, actionable business insights by summarising analytical findings in reports tailored to stakeholder needs. Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support used for key business decisions Clean and prepare data by removing duplicates, correcting errors, and handling missing values to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across datasets. Provide analysis support to stakeholder expectations and develop tailored strategies to ensure alignment and effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle Support cross-functional projects by applying advanced data modelling and analysis techniques to uncover insights, guide strategic decisions, and identify optimization opportunities.
