Job Description Summary

We're on the lookout for a talented Data Scientist II to join our FNB Connect Credit Analytics team, this role forms part of the Acquisitions/ Risk appetite function of our Credit Value Chain.

 

Are you someone who:

Has experience in Acquisition/ Scoring ManagementHas a passion for setting or optimising of Credit risk appetite and/or Product strategiesIntermediate to advanced coding skills in SAS is essentialThrives in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, maintaining a strong work ethic and focus to meet tight deadlinesThinks creatively and strategically, approaching problems with an open mind and a solution-focused mindsetExperience with Model monitoring, optimization and/or deployment will be advantageousPrior experience with technical documentation and process mapping will be advantageous.Communication, stakeholder management, and ability to present clearly, concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.Delivers high-quality, reliable outputs within set timelines—prioritizing accuracy, clarity, and impact

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

Have a relevant Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics, Physics or Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or equivalentHave a minimum of 3 years' relevant Data Analytics experienceHave deep domain knowledge of Data Science and Analytics within Credit RiskStrong level of proficiency in SAS
