The Senior Data Science Rolewill serve as a strategic analytics partner to TE’s commercial, finance and supply chain organizations. This role is responsible for developing advanced analytical models, generating actionable insights, and improving demand forecasting accuracy to support sales planning, operations execution, and business strategy.
This position sits in the Americas Commercial Excellence organization and at the intersection of commercial performance, demand planning, and supply chain execution — translating complex data into clear, decision-ready insights that directly impact revenue, margin, and customer service.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Commercial & Business Insights**
+ Partner with Sales, Commercial Excellence, and Finance to define performance KPIs and develop analytics that drive pricing, margin, pipeline, and customer growth decisions
+ Build analytical models to identify commercial trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers
+ Deliver executive-ready insights through dashboards, storytelling, and business recommendations
**Forecasting & Demand Analytics**
+ Analyze historical demand, order patterns, backlog, inventory, and lead-time signals to improve forecast accuracy
+ Partner with Supply Chain, S&OP, and Operations teams to embed forecasting insights into planning processes
**Advanced Analytics & Modeling**
+ Apply statistical modeling, time-series forecasting, machine learning, and optimization techniques to solve business problems
+ Assist in developing scenario models to support capacity planning, inventory optimization, and commercial tradeoffs
**Data Engineering & Enablement**
+ Work closely with IT and data analytics teams to ensure clean, reliable, and well-governed data pipelines
+ Build scalable analytics solutions using Python, SQL, and BI platforms
+ Enable self-service analytics through customized insights, standardized KPIs, and automation
**Stakeholder Partnership**
+ Serve as a trusted analytics advisor to senior commercial and supply chain leaders
+ Translate complex technical outputs into clear business actions
+ Influence decision-making through data-driven storytelling
**What your background should look like:**
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, or related quantitative field
+ 5+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or forecasting roles
+ Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL
+ Deep experience with forecasting methods (exponential smoothing, regression, ML-based forecasting)
+ Strong statistical foundation (hypothesis testing, inference, experimental design)
+ Experience working with large enterprise datasets in ERP (SAP), CRM (Salesforce.com), supply chain systems(IBP)
+ Proven ability to communicate complex analytics to non-technical stakeholders
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience in manufacturing, industrial, automotive, energy, or OEM environments
+ Familiarity with SAP / ERP data structures (order management, demand, inventory, production, lead time)
+ Experience with Power BI, Tableau
+ Exposure to cloud analytics platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS)
+ Experience supporting S&OP, demand planning, or supply chain planning organizations

**COMPENSATION**
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $132,200 - $198,3000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
