Job Description & Summary

PwC Slovakia is looking for a dynamic and experienced Data Science Lead to join our growing team of data professionals. This role is ideal for a leader who combines technical excellence with strong communication skills and a proven ability to lead and develop teams. 

As a Data Science Lead, you will play a key role in shaping data-driven strategies, delivering impactful solutions, and mentoring a team of talented individuals. You will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business insights. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

Lead and manage a team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions across industries. 

Design and implement advanced data science and AI solutions, including predictive modeling, machine learning, and data engineering. 

Act as a strategic advisor to clients, clearly communicating technical concepts and recommendations in a business-relevant way. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client needs and translate them into effective data-driven strategies. 

Ensure project delivery excellence – managing timelines, resources, and quality standards. 

Foster a culture of growth, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team. 

Contribute to PwC’s thought leadership in data and AI through publications, presentations, and internal knowledge sharing. 

 

Requirements: 

Proven experience in data science, AI, analytics, or data engineering, ideally within a consulting or client-facing environment. 

Strong technical skills in tools such as Python, SQL, Spark, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). 

Excellent communication and presentation skills – able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

Demonstrated success in leading teams and delivering complex data projects. 

Strategic mindset with the ability to align technical solutions with business goals. 

Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).

Salary: From 4300 EUR/month
(For candidates with many years of experience, the salary is negotiable based on experience and proven seniority.)

Contract type: Full-time
