Key Responsibilities:

Support business unit in data preparationModel development and support ongoing projectsConduct advanced research and engineering for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions for healthcare-related topics to support the development of a machine learning pipeline.Work with large-scale healthcare datasets to develop and test your ML models.Take advantage of models developed internally and/or available from the community to solve research problems in healthcare.Work closely with the AI research team and clinical team to transfer your proof-of-concept research prototypes into meaningful features within our products. Specific internship projects will be identified based on the candidate's strengths and interests, as well as business need.

What you'll need (Required):

Current enrollment as a student at an accredited university for the duration of the Internship project with a graduation date of December 2026 or laterPursuing Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Biomedical EngineeringAbility to work full-time for the duration of the Internship (May/June 2026 - Aug 2026)Good scholastic standing (3.0+ cumulative GPA or equivalent)Strong interest in pursuing relevant industry experience.Experience with data science or building machine learning models including Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Model (LLM) is requiredExperience with Python required

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $54,000 - $72,000 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
