We are seeking a Data Steward to join our technology Data & Information Management organization in Bangalore, India. This role is ideal for motivated professionals who thrive in diverse, fast-paced environments and are passionate about data quality and governance.
As a Data Steward, you will play a critical role in ensuring data integrity, quality, and accessibility across JLL's enterprise systems. You'll work with modern data platforms and tools to support our Master Data Management initiatives and drive data-driven decision making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Data Quality & Stewardship
Execute comprehensive data stewardship activities to enrich and validate company, property, and contact data using both proprietary platforms and external data sources
Design and implement data quality rules, validation checks, and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency
Perform data profiling, cleansing, and standardization activities across multiple enterprise systems
Technical Data Management
Develop and execute intermediate to advanced SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
Utilize Azure Databricks for large-scale data processing, quality assessments
Create automated data quality monitoring and reporting solutions
Support Master Data Management (MDM) and other enterprise-level data initiatives
Process Optimization & Collaboration
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data quality processes and implement efficiency improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data quality issues and ensure proper escalation procedures
Provide ongoing technical support for data governance projects and initiatives
Document data lineage, quality metrics, and stewardship procedures

Experience & Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative discipline
1-3 years of experience in data management, data analysis, or data stewardship roles
Demonstrated experience working with large datasets and data quality initiatives
Technical Skills & Competencies
Required Technical Skills:
Intermediate SQL proficiency - ability to write complex queries, joins, subqueries, and data manipulation statements
Azure Databricks experience - querying capabilities, understanding of notebook environments, and basic cluster management
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions
Experience with data quality tools and methodologies
Familiarity with database concepts and data modeling principles
Preferred Technical Skills:
Python programming experience - particularly for data manipulation, analysis, and automation (pandas, numpy, data cleaning libraries)
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure ecosystem preferred)
Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices
Exposure to business intelligence and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Understanding of API integration and data pipeline concepts
Core Competencies:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with strong attention to detail
Outstanding technical documentation and communication skills
Self-motivated team player with ability to work independently
Strong organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
