Data Policy & Compliance Analyst (f/m/x)

Your role

You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the company’s Data Compliance & Policies, Enterprise Data Management and actively contribute to the success of the digital transformation at ZEISS. In this function, you will be part of a team that develops, implements and ensures company-wide data policies and data compliance frameworks in close collaboration with the Corporate Security & Data Protection Team supporting our data governance roadmap that aligns with the organization’s strategic priorities.

In this role you will:

Work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

Help to enforce data management policies and ensure compliance with various legal and contractual obligations as well as establish and realize the reporting on compliance KPIs to measure against objectives across the entire data supply chain, including data onboarding, data enrichment, data use and data transfer

Further assist in the establishment of standard operating procedures for data stewardship and ensure clear accountability for proper stewardship of information throughout the data lifecycle

Play a crucial role in the rollout of ZEISS´ global data strategy

Define the cornerstones of scalable data and analytics foundation to provide a superior customer experience and ensure their organizational implementation together with our business units

With your team and your fellow colleagues, you will build our capability to stay on top of digital innovation and make sure that decisions regarding the use of data are made in the interest of ZEISS as well as our customers.

Your profile

An excellent university degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, law w/ digital focus or in a related field

First experience with similar responsibilities in data policy & compliance

Proven knowledge in European data protection laws and practices including an in-depth understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), knowledge of international standards, such as ISO / IEC 27001, as well as of data protection certifications are a plus

Preferably experience in defining, documenting and implementing data governance best practices, policies & procedures in a large organization as well as experience in a regulated industry

Excellent analytical and conceptional thinking paired with the ability to understand multiple interdependencies

Project management experience

Ability to handle multiple tasks and interact with various stakeholders

Excellent English skills, German is recommended
