Position Summary
In this role you, will manage a team of ETL specialists responsible for extracting and normalizing plain text data from 100+ external data sources into structured database entries. You will architect and optimize our data integration strategies, mentor team members, and ensure the scalability and reliability of our Data Path ETL platform. You will work hands-on with the Gateway product (a sophisticated C++ ETL engine configured via JSON) while also setting technical direction, establishing best practices, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to enhance our data processing capabilities.

Lead and mentor a team of specialists, fostering their technical growth and career developmentArchitect and optimize ETL strategies across multiple external data sourcesEstablish coding standards, documentation practices, and quality assurance processesCollaborate with product management and engineering teams to define requirements and roadmapDesign and implement automation solutions to improve data integration efficiencyTroubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert guidance to the teamMonitor system performance and implement improvements to ensure scalabilityConduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practicesManage project timelines and coordinate with stakeholders across the organizationMinimum Requirements
3+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL, or related technical roles2+ years of experience leading or mentoring technical teamsExpertise with databases (SQL, NoSQL, and Cloud platforms)Strong experience with ETL processes and database integrationProficiency with MongoDB and other database technologiesExperience with source control systems, particularly gitExcellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersTrack record of driving technical projects from conception to completionPreferred Qualifications
Experience with C++ or similar systems programming languagesBackground in cybersecurity or security data analysisExperience with JSON-based configuration systemsFamiliarity with data transformation frameworks and toolsBackground in agile development methodologiesTotal Target Cash (TTC) Range 118,377.21 - 157,996.89 - 197,496.11 CAD Annual
