Guidewire Professional Services is seeking a hands-on Guidewire Data Migration Senior Architect who will be responsible for leading the end-to-end process of migrating critical insurance data from our legacy systems into the Guidewire InsuranceSuite platform (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter), utilizing Guidewire tools, standards and best practices.As a member of our organization, you will be expected to work with our customers, partners and other Guidewire team members to ensure successful delivery of your projects. In addition to your dedication to our customers' success you will share your knowledge and benefit of your experiences with other Guidewire colleagues, enhance our project methodology and build/expand our tooling to improve our project execution to enable predictable outcomes.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
You will serve as the team lead for both onshore and offshore teams, working closely with business analysts, data analysts, legacy system SMEs, ETL developers, Guidewire configuration and Integration developers, and QA testers to translate data migration business requirements into technical solutions and deliver sprint goals.
You will define project scope, user stories, acceptance criteria and estimates.
You will analyze complex data structures in legacy source systems and help the business and data analysts to map them to the Guidewire InsuranceSuite data model.
You will install, configure, test, and run Guidewire migration tools - Policy Migration Tool (PMT), and/or Claim Migration Tool (CMT) and/or Billing Migration Tool (BMT), to perform data loads into the target Guidewire InsuranceSuite.
You will manage the end-to-end data loading process, including pre-load validation, execution of load jobs, and post-load verification.
You will optimize migration processes for performance, making configuration adjustments to improve speed and efficiency, particularly when dealing with large data volumes, to meet project SLAs.
You will identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues, migration errors, and performance bottlenecks throughout the project lifecycle.
You will enable offshore teams to be successful in delivering agreed upon business requirements while conforming to Guidewire best practices & standards.
You will coordinate with the PMO to provide technical leadership when necessary.
You will be able to work in small teams and participate in a hands-on technical capacity when needed for meeting project goals.
You will work within the broader Guidewire data team to improve our internal processes and methodology.
You will participate in the creation of new tooling to support and streamline our project outcomes.
You are a self-motivated problem-solver who takes initiative and always puts customer success first.
You can adapt and perform at a high level in a demanding fast-paced Agile environment.
Guidewire consultants are expected to spend up to 50% of their time on-site with the customer business and technical teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent level of demonstrable professional competency, and 8 years + in delivery and/or consulting type role.
Deep understanding of the P&C insurance domain, including concepts like policies, claims, billing, and underwriting.
Hands-on experience with the Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
Hands-on experience with Guidewire Migration tools - PMT, CMT, BMT.
Previous large scale data migration experience of successfully migrating data from mainframe or other complex legacy systems.
Familiarity with data processing and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts.
Strong OOP skills
Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
Proficiency in SQL for data validation, querying staging tables, and reconciliation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with complex datasets
Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Experience working with customer teams to understand business objectives and functional requirements, ability to lead and build consensus.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Nice to have:
Familiarity with AI Tools
Familiarity with REST API
Experience migrating into Guidewire InsuranceSuite from other core insurance platforms like Duck Creek, Majesco, WINS, Insurity etc
Ability to leverage emerging technologies and AI in your role as well as use data-driven insights to foster innovation, boost productivity, and drive continuous improvement.
Proficiency in Data Modeling, ETL, and cloud computing skills. Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS, Talend, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory)
Certification in any of Guidewire InsuranceSuite products.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $155,000 - $233,000 . Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan.
