Who we’re looking for 

Toyota’s OneTech Manufacturing Tech Services Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Data (MES x MOM) Manager. 

  

The OpCenter Data Manager will lead all data-related workstreams for the Siemens Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) program, ensuring a reliable data architecture, seamless integrations, and robust reporting capabilities across the Liberty battery plant. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of MES data structures, integration strategies, and business intelligence tools, with strong leadership skills to align technical teams with business priorities.

Reporting to the Siemens MOM Program Senior Manager, the person in this role will support the Manufacturing Tech Services department to manage a cross-functional data team, including a Data Engineer, Integrations Lead, and BI Enablement Lead, to deliver high-quality, real-time data to support manufacturing, logistics, quality, and production control operations.

This position is based in Liberty, NC. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within a commutable distance of this location.

What you’ll be doing

Leadership & Team Management

Directly oversee the Data Engineer, Integrations Lead, and BI Enablement Lead.

Set team priorities, assign responsibilities, and monitor performance to meet project milestones.

Mentor team members to build internal capability in MES data management.

Data Strategy & Governance

Define and implement a data management strategy for Siemens OpCenter and connected systems.

Establish data quality, governance, and security standards in compliance with corporate policies.

Ensure accurate master data setup and maintenance for manufacturing operations.

Integration Management

Oversee design, development, and maintenance of integrations between OpCenter, ERP, PLC/SCADA, quality, and logistics systems.

Ensure data flows are reliable, performant, and aligned with operational requirements.

Reporting & Analytics Enablement

Manage delivery of BI dashboards, reports, and analytics for manufacturing KPIs and operational insights.

Work with business stakeholders to identify reporting needs and ensure self-service BI capabilities.

Ensure that reporting solutions are consistent, scalable, and user-friendly.

Program Support

Collaborate with the OpCenter Implementation Manager and other functional leads to ensure data readiness for each release.

Support testing efforts by validating data accuracy and integrity in pre-production environments.

Provide data-related status updates, risks, and recommendations to program leadership.

What you bring

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

7+ years of experience in data management, integration, or analytics, with at least 3 years in manufacturing systems.

Experience managing cross-functional data teams.

Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes.

Familiarity with MES/MOM platforms (Siemens OpCenter preferred).

Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.

Added bonus if you have

Knowledge of Siemens OpCenter Discrete data structures and Foundation data services.

Experience with manufacturing data integration patterns (ERP, PLC, SCADA).

Data governance or analytics certifications.

Automotive or battery manufacturing industry experience.
