Data Management Lead - Data Retention and Destruction

Job Summary:
As a Vice President in the Consumer and Community Banking Data Retention and Destruction Team, you will lead records management programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with Firm-wide and line of business Data Risk Policies, Standards, and Procedures. Collaborate with the Retention and Destruction team and business stakeholders to facilitate the implementation and governance of Data Risk Management policies.

Job Responsibilities: 

Coordinate and execute records management projects, including initiatives for ARM applications, shared drives, SharePoint, and Know your Records (KYR) programs.Develop and implement sustainable processes to remediate records and manage data retention and destruction.Build expertise in firm-wide records management requirements, tools, and record types.Design metrics, reports, and presentations to communicate project status and control effectiveness.Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and serve as a point of escalation for issue resolution.Monitor and assess records management risks and key indicators.Facilitate the rollout and improvement of governance processes and provide CDO oversight across CCB.Collaborate with Controls Management and business partners to ensure a robust control environment.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Background in either Data Management, Data Governance, or a control functionMinimum of 5 years' experience managing multi-year, complex programs with diverse, matrixed teamsBackground in Records Management, including familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the data lifecycleExcellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor messages for different audiencesStrong organizational and prioritization skills, demonstrating flexibility in a rapidly changing environmentProven ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively across teamsStrategic problem-solver with excellent analytical skills and attention to detailProficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Proven experience with documenting processes flows and governance procedures

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Advanced Degree in Data Governance, Information Management, or a related field
