Summary:
The Data Lake Architect & Data Engineer at Pacific Seafood will be a key role on our IT Development team, who will design, implement, and manage an enterprise level Data Lake solution to support advanced analytics and enterprise reporting initiatives. In addition, this role will also drive the data integration, data transformation, and data governance initiatives across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
1: Architect & Design Data Lake:Design and implement and enterprise level data lake solution that supports structured and unstructured data ingestion, processing, and storage.Work closely with data engineers, analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.Define standards for metadata management, data cataloging, and data auditing.2: Data Integration:Ensure seamless integration with legacy systems, new ERP platform, other new applications, BI tools, and third-party APIs.Design and manage data ingestion pipelines from structured and unstructured sources.3: Data Governance & Security:Implement robust data governance, access control, data masking, and compliance frameworks.Ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance with internal and external regulations.Collaborate with security teams to ensure encryption, IAM, and network policies are aligned with enterprise standards.4: Leadership and Modeling Company Standards:Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence, Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all itemsManage multiple project priorities to successfully deliver solutions to our business owners within defined timelinesSupport PSG IT PMO function and projects managed within the Operating UnitsMaintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standardsMaintain professional and technical knowledgeContribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as neededAdditional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:
Required:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.4+ years of experience in data architecture, with at least 2 years focused on data lakes and cloud-based data platforms.Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance.Preferred:
Experience in the food processing or manufacturing industry.Knowledge of modern programming practices and methodologies.Total Compensation:
