About the Team

The Data and Process Excellence team (CDPE) is responsible for the digitalization of analytics, reporting and governance processes for the Controllership and Sourcing departments in Finance.

The Sourcing Data team within CDPE focuses on empowering Global Sourcing with access to data, dashboard and other analytical toolsets to measure performance, identify savings opportunities, derive operational insights, inform strategic decisions, and drive continuous improvement. We are responsible for designing end to end data solutions, defining and analyzing business critical KPIs, developing advanced reports, and enabling self service analytics across the sourcing organization.

Job Description Overview

As the Data & Insight Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and managing critical data reports that describe the state of the business for the global sourcing team and serving as a strategic thought partner to senior sourcing and finance leaders.

You will drive the design and execution of scalable, impactful analytics solutions and reports that influence organizational direction and deliver measurable business value. You will own the creation of rich reporting and data visualization, enabling category leaders to quickly digest information, identify opportunities for improvement, and make decisions. You will gather, extract, and transform data from various financial systems, then develop compelling and accurate dashboards for the Global Sourcing team.

In this role, you will partner cross functionally with many organizations, including category leaders within the Global Sourcing team, the IT team that manages the enterprise application, and the Finance team that defines our financial data.  As a member of the global team, your stakeholders and colleagues will be located across the globe in different time zones.  Your expertise will be critical in fostering a data driven culture, championing best practices in data governance, and elevating the quality and strategic use of data throughout the Global Sourcing organization.

The role is a member of the Sourcing Data team reporting to the Director of Data Analytics & Reporting.

 

Responsibilities

Insights & ReportingDesign, develop and deliver sophisticated dashboards, reports, and analytical models that monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights and support strategic decision making. Delivery reports highlight trends, opportunities, and address key business questions.Maintain and enhance the existing dashboard suite to ensure data accuracy and completeness, address user questions, and improve the user interface experience.Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis for specific initiatives, collaborating with category leads and analysts as needed.Evaluate opportunities for automation and build reports to minimize manual work.Stakeholder Engagement & CollaborationAct as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, proactively identify, scope, and address data gaps/needs and translating business objectives into actionable analytics initiatives.Partner with IT and Finance teams to ensure collection of necessary data, maintain data quality, and develop scalable, reusable datasets with appropriate architecture.Data Governance & Best PracticesChampion best data practices across the organization by developing protocols and governance to ensure data accuracy and consistency.Proactively provide training to improve data consistency, awareness, and effective data usage across the organization.

 

Qualifications

EducationBachelor’s degree in a STEM/Finance field required. Advanced degree (Master’s, MBA, or equivalent) in Data Analytics or a related discipline strongly preferred.ExperienceMinimum of 8 years of progressive, hands on experience in business analytics with a proven track record of success. Experience supporting operations, finance, supply chain, sourcing, or related functions is preferred.Demonstrated success in leading cross functional initiatives and driving process or technology adoption at scale.Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver multiple high impact projects in a fast paced environment.Technical SkillsDeep expertise in data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.Proficiency in SQL and relational databases. Experience with Python is a plus.Experience with financial datasets such as Ariba, expense, or General Ledger data.  Understanding of general ledger account structure and cost center structure is highly desirable.Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and software platforms.Leadership & CommunicationExcellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to synthesize information, make concise recommendations, and influence senior leaders.Strategic thinker with a passion for leveraging data to drive impact and create value.Mindset & ApproachIntellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for tackling complex, ambiguous business challenges through the power of data, thrives on problem solving and continuous learning.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 124,600.00 to 180,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
