Primary Responsibilities:

Execute Governance Frameworks - Implement and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and best practices as directed by the Director of Data Gov. to ensure data quality, consistency, security, and complianceDrive Governance Projects - Lead and manage day-to-day execution of assigned projects, set clear objectives, track progress, and report status updates to leadershipSupport Success Metrics - Develop and maintain dashboards, KPI to measure data governance effectiveness and surface insights to the teamCollaborate Cross-Functionally - Coordinate with IT, business, operations and product teams to execute on governance tasks aligned to cross-functional objectives outlinedMonitor & Improve Data Quality - Partner with data stewards and owners to implement data quality controls, metadata management, and data lineage trackingSupport Access & Compliance - Ensure compliance with data privacy and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPPA, CCPA) and manage contract-based access control frameworksEducate & Advocate - Provide training to stakeholders, promoting a culture of data stewardship and accountabilityStay Ahead of Trends - Keep up with evolving data governance methodologies, tools, and regulatory changes, recommending process enhancements as neededComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience8+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fieldsSolid understanding of data governance principles, frameworks (e.g., DAMA DMBOK, DGI), and regulatory complianceSQL or preliminary coding skills to support data validation and governance automationProven excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence cross-functional teamsProven solid project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneouslyProven ability to define meaningful success metrics and track progressProven ability to translate business needs into scalable governance solutions

Preferred Qualification:

Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Databricks, Collibra, Informatica, Alation)
