Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Master Data Management, this role is part of Hach’s **global Data Governance & Management** organization and plays a key role in governing the commercial data foundation that supports end-to-end Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) processes across the enterprise. The **Data Governance Lead (Commercial)** owns the semantic definitions, data quality, and cross-system consistency of Opportunities, Quotes, and Sales Orders across Salesforce CRM and Oracle Fusion ERP, ensuring accurate and reliable commercial data for enterprise reporting. The role focuses on defining lifecycle logic and governance rules for commercial transactions while working with global stakeholders across regions and time zones. **Out of scope (please read before applying):** + Data engineering, ETL development, or data pipelines + BI reporting, dashboard creation, or analytics visualization + Product or Customer master data ownership + Operational MDM execution or mass data maintenance + System configuration or application administration **In this role, a typical day will look like:** + Own and govern commercial transactional and reference data for Opportunities, Quotes, and Sales Orders across CRM, Fusion ERP, and BI + Define and maintain semantic definitions and lifecycle logic for Lead → Opportunity → Quote → Order + Act as decision owner for commercial data definitions and cross-system consistency (CRM → ERP → Reporting) + Define and enforce Q2C commercial data rules, including status logic, handovers, and reference values + Support data warehouse and analytics teams by defining mappings, transformation rules, and validation logic for commercial transactions + Investigate and resolve data quality issues through root-cause analysis and SQL-based validation + Maintain governance documentation, including data definitions, business glossaries, and decision records **The essential requirements of the job include:** + Demonstrated experience in Data Governance, Master Data, or Commercial Data roles, with hands-on exposure to Q2C processes and cross-system landscapes (CRM, ERP, BI) + Strong experience owning data quality, consistency, reconciliation, and correctness for transactional and reference data + Proven ability to define data standards, mappings, transformation rules, and validation logic + SQL required for data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis + Experience working in a global environment with stakeholders across regions and time zones; English fluency required + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Data, or related field Hach is proud to part of the Water Quality segment of Veralto (NYSE: VLTO), a $5B global leader dedicated to ensuring access to clean water, safe food and medicine, and trusted essential goods.
