DAFgiving360™ is an independent nonprofit organization created to increase charitable giving in the U.S. We offer a donor-advised fund program and related philanthropic tools and guidance that empower donors to incorporate charitable planning into their everyday lives and make a bigger difference in the world. Since our founding in 1999 as an 501(c)(3) public charity, DAFgiving360 donors have recommended over $44 billion in grants to more than 280,000 charities.

DAFgiving360 has entered into a services agreement with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. for administrative and other services, including human resources. This position will be an employee of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and will be subject to its policies and procedures but will report to and be accountable to DAFgiving360 for day-to-day activities.

Under the guidance of the Data Governance Lead, this role is responsible for supporting the data governance strategy and framework across DAFgiving360. This role ensures that data is accurate, accessible, consistent, and protected. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of data technologies and a passion for fostering a culture of data-driven excellence. The Data Governance Analyst (individual contributor) will collaborate closely with business and technology partners to implement data policies, standards, and best practices:

Support the evolution and implementation of DAFgiving360’s data governance frameworkSupport data owners and stewards in the execution of their data management responsibilities to promote accountability Support the monitoring and reporting of data quality metrics, and support initiatives to improve data qualityIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement in data governance processes, tools, and methodologiesPromote data governance awareness and best practices across the organizationDrive data governance adoption through effective communication, training, and change management initiativesProvide subject matter expertise on data-related topics for project teams, ensuring that data standards are upheld across initiatives

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree3+ years of hands-on experience in data strategy, data analytics, data governance, and/or data managementDocumented experience in leading business process and behavior change managementStrong understanding of data governance principles, practices, and frameworksDemonstratable knowledge around different information asset types and their interconnectedness (Data, Datasets, Metrics, Reports, etc.)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detailExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills to deal with complex topics at more senior levels across the businessDocumented experience using tools and techniques such as complex spreadsheet formulas, reporting tools like Tableau, database queries, and/or on-line collaboration tools (SharePoint, Confluence, Jira)
