Job Title: Data Entry Clerk - Warehouse OperationsJob Description

The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for entering, updating, and maintaining material and inventory data in internal systems such as SAP or similar platforms. This role involves processing receiving documents, pick tickets, work orders, and material transfers, ensuring the accuracy of incoming data against physical inventory and warehouse documentation. The clerk will support cycle counts and inventory audits by reconciling discrepancies and communicate with warehouse staff, buyers, planners, and supervisors to resolve data issues. Maintaining digital and physical records in compliance with company standards, assisting with reporting, spreadsheets, and documentation related to warehouse operations, and following all safety procedures while working in an active warehouse environment are key aspects of this position.

ResponsibilitiesEnter, update, and maintain material and inventory data in internal systems.Process receiving documents, pick tickets, work orders, and material transfers.Verify accuracy of incoming data against physical inventory and warehouse documentation.Support cycle counts and inventory audits by reconciling discrepancies.Communicate with warehouse staff, buyers, planners, and supervisors to resolve data issues.Maintain digital and physical records in compliance with company standards.Assist with reporting, spreadsheets, and documentation related to warehouse operations.Follow all safety procedures while working in an active warehouse environment.Essential Skills6+ years of experience in data entry, inventory control, warehouse administration, or related operational support roles.Strong accuracy and attention to detail in high-volume data environments.Ability to work in a warehouse setting, including walking, standing, and navigating storage areas.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.High school diploma or equivalent.Additional Skills & QualificationsPost-secondary education preferred.Work Environment

The role is set in a warehouse environment with exposure to material handling equipment and inventory storage areas. The position follows a standard daytime schedule, with potential for overtime during peak periods. The work setting is team-oriented, supporting critical utility operations.

This is a Contract position based out of Valparaiso, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.63 - $24.63/hr.
