Job Description
This temporary data entry position runs for approximately one month and focuses on supporting the Document Control Specialist during a system integration project. You will reformat and clean up more than 400 Quality Management System (QMS) documents in Microsoft Word, making minor wording adjustments and preparing them for accurate entry into a centralized database. The role is ideal for someone who works carefully with detailed documents, is highly proficient in Word, and understands how to structure and revise standard operating procedures, work instructions, and policies.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with the Document Control Specialist to reformat and standardize QMS documents in Microsoft Word.Open, review, and completely reformat over 400 existing documents, including making minor verbiage adjustments as needed.Add and remove headers, adjust tables, and apply consistent outlines and formatting styles across all documents.Prepare and process Quality Management System (QMS) documents to meet internal standards and quality requirements.Review QMS documents for completeness, accuracy, and consistency before entering them into the system.Cross-reference QMS documentation with applicable AS9100D clauses to ensure proper alignment and compliance.Upload, index, and organize QMS documents into the designated database or document management system.Monitor and support the QMS document review and release cycle to ensure timely processing and approval.Maintain organized records of document status, changes, and approvals throughout the conversion process.Complete assigned document conversion tasks efficiently to support the overall system integration timeline.Essential SkillsStrong proficiency with Microsoft Word, including working with headers, tables, outlines, and document formatting tools.Demonstrated experience creating or revising standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, or policies.Ability to review documents for completeness, accuracy, and consistency with established standards.Comfort working with Quality Management System (QMS) documentation and structured document formats.Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling a high volume of documents.Ability to follow established document control processes and guidelines.Effective organizational skills to manage and track numerous documents through a review and release cycle.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with AS9100D clauses or similar quality standards is beneficial.Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.Previous exposure to document control or quality management systems is advantageous.Ability to learn and use document databases or electronic document management systems.Strong written communication skills for making clear and precise minor wording adjustments.Work Environment
This role is based in the office section of a manufacturing facility and focuses on computer-based document work. You will work a regular daytime schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a half-hour unpaid lunch break. The work is primarily performed in an office setting using Microsoft Word and a document database, with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and adherence to quality documentation standards.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
