Data Entry Analyst

The Data Entry Analyst supports the Tax Department with accurate and timely entry, validation, and organization of transportation and fuel tax data. This role is responsible for processing paper and electronic records, identifying discrepancies, and assisting with quarterly tax reporting requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in both digital systems and physical document environments.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n•\tPerform high-volume data entry and validation related to transportation and fuel tax records\n•\tProcess and manage IBMRS filings and related documentation\n•\tReview and input data from paper trip sheets, ensuring proper organization, accuracy, and filing for storage\n•\tMaintain and organize physical and electronic records for compliance and audit readiness\n•\tAnalyze and review data for errors, variances, and inconsistencies\n•\tInvestigate and correct issues such as:\n•\tIncorrect or missing odometer readings\n•\tInvalid or incorrect state abbreviations\n•\tMileage or fuel discrepancies\n•\tGenerate and review variance reports to identify data anomalies\n•\tPerform corrections and edits (including high-volume batch updates) as needed\n•\tComplete ad hoc requests for data edits, adjustments, and reporting\n•\tSupport fuel tax reporting processes (e.g., IFTA-related activities)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

•\tExperience in data entry, data analysis, or accounting support preferred\n•\tStrong attention to detail and accuracy\n•\tAbility to identify and resolve discrepancies in data\n•\tProficiency in:\n•\tMicrosoft Excel\n•\tAdobe\n•\tOneNote or similar tools\n•\tAbility to manage both paper-based and digital workflows\n•\tStrong organizational and time management skills\n•\tFamiliarity with transportation or fuel tax processes is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
