Data Engineering Specialist
Position Description:

Security clearance: Reliability Clearance granted preferably or eligible (5+ years residing in Canada)

This role is open for candidates across Canada.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineering Specialist with strong experience in data migration and AWS Glue to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, ensuring seamless migration of data across platforms, and optimizing ETL processes using AWS Glue and other cloud-native tools.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Analyze current state and target state data models, schemas, and database architectures.
• Design and implement comprehensive data migration strategies to support cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, Glue Studio, and Glue Jobs (Python/Scala).
• Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to define data mapping, transformation logic, and migration validation rules.
• Monitor and optimize data pipelines for performance and cost-efficiency.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on data migration and cloud-based ETL.
• Proven experience with AWS Databases and AWS Glue
• Excellent communication skills.
