We are looking for an experienced and proactive SQL Server DBA to support and maintain our enterprise-level database environments across development, test, and production. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SQL Server technologies, performance tuning, and cloud migration, particularly to Azure. This role demands solid collaboration with cross-functional teams, flexibility in work hours, and a commitment to high availability and disaster recovery.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Collaborate closely with the Database Administration Team to understand and meet user requirements
+ Support and maintain MSSQL environments across development, testing, and production
+ Assist with production database operations as directed by the DBA Manager or Senior DBA
+ Perform system tuning, performance monitoring, and routine database maintenance
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors and performance issues
+ Provide application and user support when required
+ Participate in design reviews, execution plan analysis, SQL code reviews, and general DBA tasks
+ Handle on-call support on a rotational basis and be available during scheduled on-call times
+ Execute disaster recovery (DR) exercises during scheduled drills or actual events
+ Troubleshoot performance issues using Query Store and other diagnostic tools
+ Tune SQL queries and optimize database performance
+ Plan and execute migration of MSSQL databases from on-premises to Azure
+ Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in Azure SQL Database
+ Attend internal training sessions and contribute to team workshops
+ Recommend process improvements to enhance team efficiency
+ Document and update operational procedures as needed
+ Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Hands-on experience with SQL Server versions: 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2022, and Azure SQL
+ Experience as a production SQL Server DBA in an enterprise environment
+ Experience in migrating databases across data centers and upgrading platforms to newer versions
+ Expertise in Azure SQL Database administration and cloud migration strategies
+ Solid background in database design, analysis, development, and support across Production, QA, Test, and Development environments
+ Proficiency in T-SQL, AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Replication, Change Data Capture (CDC), Clustering, Backup & Recovery, SQL Jobs, SQL Profiler, and Extended Events
+ Skilled in installing, patching, configuring, monitoring, maintaining, and performance tuning large-scale production databases
