The Opportunity:
CACI has an immediate opening for a Mid-Level Data Engineer providing support/services to United States Fleet Forces Command (USFFC) N41 under the Naval Forces Logistics (NFL) II contract at Naval Station Norfolk. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining the data infrastructure and pipelines that power critical logistics analysis and decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources into a centralized data platform (e.g., data warehouse, data lake).
Qualifications:
Required:
DOD Secret clearance - Must be Current.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building and maintaining data pipelines.Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Lakeflow).Proficient with one or more programming languages (Python, Java, Scala) for data manipulation and automation.Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data engineering services.Familiarity with data modeling techniques (e.g., Kimball, Inmon).Working knowledge of QLIK Sense (or similar data visualization tool like Tableau), and Databricks a plus.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
