Data Pipeline Development Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for real-time and batch data processing Build automated data ingestion workflows from various sources including APIs, databases, flat files, and streaming platforms Implement data transformation logic to cleanse, validate, and enrich raw data Optimize pipeline performance for high-volume data processing Develop monitoring and alerting systems for pipeline health and data quality Infrastructure & Architecture Design and implement scalable data warehouse and data lake architectures Build and maintain cloud-based data storage solutions using modern platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Implement data partitioning, indexing, and compression strategies for optimal performance Design disaster recovery and backup strategies for critical data systems Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve data infrastructure capabilities Data Management & Governance Design, Develop and Maintain Data Models Implement data quality frameworks and validation rules Establish data lineage tracking and metadata management systems Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) Develop and maintain data documentation and schema definitions Implement security measures including encryption, access controls, and audit logging Collaboration & Support Partner with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements Provide technical guidance on data architecture and best practices Support ad-hoc data requests and troubleshoot data-related issues Mentor junior team members and participate in code reviews Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD practices for data workflows Performance & Optimization Monitor system performance and identify bottlenecks in data processing Optimize database queries and data models for improved efficiency Implement caching strategies and data compression techniques Conduct capacity planning for growing data volumes Troubleshoot and resolve production data issues
