We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join a 6-month project based in Mexico City. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in modern data engineering practices, particularly in Databricks, Apache Spark, and AWS environments. You will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and data architectures.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Databricks and Apache SparkImplement and maintain ETL/ELT workflowsDevelop data models to support analytics and reporting needsWork with Delta Lake for reliable and consistent data storageCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutionsEnsure best practices in version control, CI/CD, and code qualitySupport data architecture following Medallion (Bronze, Silver, Gold) principlesRequired Qualifications3+ years of experience working as a Data EngineerStrong hands-on experience with DatabricksExpertise in Apache SparkAdvanced knowledge of SQL and data modelingExperience working with Delta LakeProficiency in PythonHands-on experience with AWS cloud platformsAdvanced EnglishTools & TechnologiesETL orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow)Version control systems (e.g., Git)CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with Medallion ArchitectureNice to HaveExperience working with EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) or ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data and processes#LI-CES
