In this role, you’ll join a collaborative technology team within Schwab Technology Services, building reliable data products that support critical decisions across the business. If you thrive in a supportive culture that values learning, fresh thinking, and the opportunity to “own your tomorrow,” this is a role where you can truly make a difference. **Key Responsibilities** + Creation and maintenance of enterprise data assets, reporting, and data analytics that support business leaders in decision‑making, regulatory reporting, and continuous process improvement. + Work closely with business and other stakeholders to understand needs and ensure accurate implementation. + Perform ETL design, development, data management, and data analysis. + Create data models, conduct performance tuning, develop load plans, and ensure deliverables meet both functional and non‑functional requirements. + Provide guidance and technical oversight to junior engineers and vendor contractors. + Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality data engineering solutions. + Ensure system alignment to architecture policies and best practices; follow process methodologies during system development. + Identify opportunities for system reuse and simplification. **What you have** **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. + 5+ years of experience in development, support, and maintenance of ETL and database applications. + 2+ years of hands‑on experience with GCP (GCS, BigQuery, Dataproc). + 2+ years of hands‑on experience with IDMC (Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud). + 2+ years of experience with Control‑M. + Strong SQL knowledge and shell scripting skills. + Working knowledge of Agile methodologies. + Familiarity with SCM/DevOps tools such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Bamboo. + Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyze and understand data. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience in the financial services industry. + Ability to interpret trends and metrics to drive actionable insights. + Python scripting experience. + Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
