Your future duties and responsibilities:. Implement comprehensive, thoughtful, and best-in-class data ingestion, processing and delivery capabilities to support line of business
. Build reusable and scalable data pipelines and new API integrations in support of continuing increases in data volume and complexity
. Design, develop, and implement data pipelines and ETL processes, ensuring thorough unit testing to validate functionality and performance.
. Work in tandem with source system and application teams to integrate and establish data pipelines
. Working knowledge of Python programming
. Experience with SQL and data handling
. Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data throughout the pipeline
. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications
. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, architecture, and workflows to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance
. Demonstrate problem-solving skills, see and solve issues before they affect business productivity
. 3+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer/Developer in complex data ecosystems (Azure/ AWS)
. Experience with Databricks, Lakeflow Connect, Declarative Pipelines and Jobs
. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL
. Understanding of data modeling and database design
. Experience with API integration and Data ingestion from various sources, ensuring seamless data flow between systems
. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
. Must have experience working in a fast-paced Agile managed environment
Nice to have
. Familiar / understanding of schema design and implementation
. Some experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) experience is a bonus
Education
. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000.00 – $120,000.00. This role is an existing vacancy.
