CGI is seeking a Data Engineer to join its teams and support the design and evolution of large-scale analytics solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong data engineering expertise combined with proven experience in general infrastructure planning, a critical capability for building secure, scalable, and high-performing data platforms. This role is well suited for a proactive professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and is driven by innovation.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Play a key role in general data infrastructure planning, including architecture design, capacity planning, performance, and scalability
- Collaborate with multiple teams (IT, analytics, business) to ensure successful delivery of data solutions
- Develop and support real-time data ingestion processes from various sources
- Build and maintain data models optimized for business intelligence and advanced analytics
- Implement and maintain integrations with external APIs (e.g., Google, Salesforce, SAP)
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory standards (GDPR, SOX)
- Contribute to best practices in data engineering and data architecture
- Act as a technical reference and actively drive continuous improvement initiatives

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field
- Proven experience in data engineering and general infrastructure planning
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, SQL Server, Power BI, and Git
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Solid understanding of data modeling and ETL/ELT architectures
- Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms and scalable data solutions
- Experience working in agile environments
- Strong communication skills in both English and French
