Job Description Insight Global is looking for a skilled senior level Data Engineer in Hyderabad for a large AAA gaming company on a contract for 12 months with possibility of extension. You will be assisting the Data/AI team on optimizing BI data pipelines, designing, and modeling Snowflake databases, and ensuring efficient data flow for analytics and reporting. You’ll work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance data solutions that support enterprise BI platforms like Power BI and Looker. Skills and Requirements Must haves: • Data Engineering & BI Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain BI data pipelines, ensuring efficient ETL processes and reducing Persistent Derived Table (PDT) refresh times. • Snowflake Expertise: Lead data modeling, optimize queries, and apply performance tuning techniques for scalable architecture. • SQL & Query Optimization: Strong ability to design and optimize queries for large datasets. • Workflow Orchestration: Manage and schedule data workflows using Airflow or similar tools. • BI Best Practices: Collaborate with BI teams to align data models with reporting needs; familiarity with Power BI and Looker principles (not required to be a Power BI expert). • Version Control & Collaboration: Use GitLab for code management and maintain clear documentation for pipelines and models. • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills to engage VP and Director-level stakeholders, ability to provide honest feedback constructively, and a proactive, ambitious mindset.
