Architect, design, and develop robust, scalable data platforms, pipelines, and applications combining data processing, transformation, and business logic.
Lead design and architecture reviews, establishing coding standards, best practices, and cost/performance optimization strategies.
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, architects, and stakeholders to align data engineering initiatives with application design, business, and analytics needs.
Implement automated testing, validation, monitoring, and deployment frameworks to ensure reliability and operational stability.
Drive deployment strategies and optimize solutions in cloud-native and distributed environments (Databricks, Spark, Kubernetes, etc.).
Mentor and support team members through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Stay current with emerging tools, platforms, and best practices in data engineering, application development, and cloud technologies.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
5+ years of professional experience in software development and/or data engineering, focusing on scalable, data-driven applications.
Strong background designing, developing, and architecting applications that integrate complex data workflows and business logic.
Expertise in Databricks, Spark, or similar distributed platforms.
Proficiency in Python, C#, Scala, SQL, and experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, with emphasis on performance and scalability.
Deep knowledge of data engineering principles, data modeling, and building reliable pipelines (ETL/ELT).
Strong grasp of software architecture practices: microservices, APIs, and integration patterns.
Solid cloud experience (Azure, AWS, GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep).
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps/automation practices.
Proven ability to lead design and architecture discussions across application and data layers.
Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills to mentor teams and guide technical decisions.
