Essential Functions

The Data Engineer plays an essential role in the design, development, and support/maintenance of all the Azure components, Fabric analytics, Databricks ETL pipelines and analytics, and their related operational applicationsDesign and implement database models and architectures for both OLTP and data analytics purposesDesign and develop robust data integration frameworks for moving and transforming varied data sets between Red Robin, 3rd party applications, and external partnersDesign, develop, and consume API interfaces for managing the flow of complex data across platforms within Red Robin and with our external partnersDesign and develop modern responsive and reactive user interfaces, reports, and dashboards for end-user data management, process tracking and execution, and system health monitoringProvide cross-functional support to the Red Robin Data Team for all databases, applications, and analytical reports on Azure and FabricDevelop and publish technical design specifications and documentation for assigned development projects

Essential Skills

Data architecture and modeling for OLTP and data warehouse environmentsAdvanced ETL development with Databricks and PythonAdvanced SQL development on MS SQL ServerAPI development and consumptionModern responsive and reactive user interfacesData analytics frameworksAzure platform development

Qualifications

5 - 8 years of SQL database development requiredExperience developing large databases with custom database applications requiredExperience with ETL frameworks and tools requiredExperience with both REST and XML API services requiredExperience developing Angular or .NET Core user interfaces, reports, and dashboards requiredAdvanced level experience with Python, Java, or C# requiredExperience with Databricks highly desiredExperience with data analytics desiredExperience on the Azure platform desiredExperience with Fabric and Power BI desiredAbility to quickly understand complicated systemsExcellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skillsComfortable communicating in a team environment and able to communicate effectively with all levels from users to managementExcellent written communications skills for writing technical specifications involving architecture, database design, and ETL workflow

Compensation Range: $96,100.00 - $132,250.00
