Únete a un equipo ganador que promueve la creatividad y la innovación en un entorno cambiante, donde siempre estamos comprometidos con el logro de resultados, en una cultura inclusiva, diversa y de alto desempeño. **Purpose** Leads and oversees the Development and Operation of critical data assets/data models serving International Banking Analytics, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. **Accountabilities** + Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships andleveragebroader Bank relationships,systemsand knowledge. + Functions as senior member of an agile team and helps drive consistent development practices, tools usage, common components, and patterns. + Guides data development teams through coaching sessions or mentorshipto secure full understanding of Operational model and development practices. + Followsproductleader and product ownerdirectionto ensure requirements are met and delivered accuratelyandin a timely manner. + Manage developers’ team tomaintaina high quality fordata pipelines and data models via the establishment ofgoodhabits and practices. + Observe standardized developmentpractices across the entire data cycle, stablishing collaborationwith data producers and data consumers. Closing resource and dedication gaps whenrequired. + Support the creation and review of processes and technical artifacts supportingthe creation of pipelinedocumentation (code location, purpose, ownership, processing logic, etc.) + Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. + Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. + Buildsahigh performanceenvironment and implements apeoplestrategy that attracts,retains,developsand motivates their teamby fostering an inclusive work environmentand using a coaching mindset andbehaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy;and,managing succession and development planning for the team. **Requirements:** + Required to be proficient in English + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or related field or relevant experience  + Industry experience as a project leader/manager + 5+ years experience working as a Data Engineer and/or architect. + Strong proficiency in SQL , Spark and Google Cloud + Data modelling and warehousing experience would be a plus + Proficiency with relational databases (Oracle, DB2, MYSQL, Redshift, etc.) **Assets** + Proficient in a variety of languages including Python, Scala, Javascript + API development experience + Experience working with PowerBI + Experience in microservices architectures would be a plus + Experience working with distributed computing technologies (Spark , Kafka , Hive , Trino) + Experience working in an Agile team environment. + Industry experience with big data technology. + Experience working in Retail/Risk Banking Domain is an asset ​ Ubicación(s): Colombia : Bogota : Bogota ScotiaTech es una unidad de negocio de ScotiaGBS, un grupo de empresas de Scotiabank, ubicado en Bogotá, Colombia.
