Responsibilities Job Summary:Seeking an experienced and strategic and hands-on Delivery Director to lead the end-to-end execution of our Data Initiatives. This role is accountable for delivering high-impact data solutions with excellence, ensuring reliability, quality, and timeliness across data platforms and pipelines. You will provide technical and delivery oversight for data ingestion (DataPlace), Modeling (e.g., IBM UDMH), and modern cloud architecture, while mentoring a team of Technical Managers and engineers on enterprise data warehouse ( DataVerse). You will oversee multiple technical workgroups to ensure delivery excellence from planning to releases.
The ideal candidate brings a balance of delivery rigor, technical expertise, and strong leadership. You will ensure alignment with enterprise data modeling standards, drive cross-functional collaboration and maintain clear communication with senior stakeholders. This is a highly visible role, instrumental in turning strategy into sustainable data capabilities and products.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-End Delivery Ownership: Drive planning and delivery of large-scale data initiatives across intake, build, testing, and production - ensuring alignment with timelines, scope and quality expectations.
Technical Leadership & Program Management
Lead and develop high-performing team of Tech Managers, Scrum Master and engineers, foster culture of excellence, accountability and collaboration.Responsible for delivery of complex data ingestion, ensuring timeline delivery of foundational and high-value datasets into enterprise data platform (DataPlace and DataVerse)Responsible for financial stewardship of data delivery programs totaling $20 Million, ensuring effective budgeting, resource allocation and cost management to support strategic objectives - partnering closely with the Planning and Engagement - Finance team.Agile Delivery Management, drive Agile, continuous planning, backlog health, and sprint execution across multiple workgroups.Reporting & Executive communication - executive and team level reporting on delivery health, KPIs, risks and key accomplishments.Stakeholder Collaboration, coordinate closely with Product, Business and Service stakeholders to align goals, manage dependencies and ensure stakeholder satisfactionOversee structured onboarding of source systems - including profiling, source-to-target mapping, lineage documentation and quality assurance.Manage ingestion of structured and semi-structured data into curated layers to support broad data product consumptionManage risks, issues and dependencies - Anticipate and migrate risk, escalate blockers, and implement corrective actions to ensure smooth program progression.Translate strategic initiatives, use cases leveraging Product Roadmaps to tactical Delivery plans, forecast capacity needs and optimize team structure.Release Management and Adoption:Oversee structured Release and deployment processes, including multi-environment coordination, code promotion and version management.Support user onboarding and adoption of data capabilities through coordinated communications and enablement activitiesCollaborate with Governance, Architecture, and DataOps teams to promote standardization, discoverability, and stewardship through the data catalogData Operation Collaboration, alignment with Data Ops teams for production readiness, operational transition and support process integration.
Technical Oversight & Guidance
Provide strategic and hands-on leadership for ELT/ETL Pipeline design, cloud data architecture, and warehouse modeling using frameworks like IBM UDMHDrive consistency, reusability, and observability across delivery workstreams and platform capabilities. Platform Quality & Reliability, maintain high standards of data quality, reliability, and performance through strong delivery practices and platform observability.
Data Modeling & Metadata Governance Alignment
Partner with Data Modeler and business analysts to align conceptual, logical, and physical models with product and analytic needsEnsure accurate source-to-target mappings, conformed dimensions, semantic consistencyFacilitate model walkthroughs and approvals, while enforcing model standards and metadata practices to support traceability and reuseEnsure all ingested and modeled data assets are properly cataloged, tagged, and maintained in Collibra, including technical metadata, business definitions and reference data.
Partner with Data Products
Work closely with Data Product Leaders, Managers and Owners to ensure delivery teams are aligned to product priorities, use cases, and success metrics.Maintain visibility into emerging product needs to support proactive backlog shaping, technical planning and allocationEnsure delivery teams understand user personas and downstream data usage to maximize product utility.
Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent field or equivalent foreign degree highly preferred10+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, enterprise data program delivery.5+ years in leadership or delivery role overseeing technical teamsDeep understanding of data pipelines, cloud data warehousing (GCP or similar), and ETL/ELT ArchitecturesExperience with enterprise data models (IBM UDMH or similar)Familiarity with enterprise metadata management tools such as Collibra for cataloging, lineage, and stewardshipThrives in dynamic, face-paced environments and remains focused amidst ambiguity and evolving priorities to drive iterative development and continuous progressStrong experience managing Agile delivery frameworks with multiple teamsDemonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and management of complex programsExceptional communication, stakeholder management and executive reporting skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills
Requirements
Education:
High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.Additional Preferences
