You will contribute to the collection, storage, and batch and real-time processing of data. Working closely with various teams, you will play an important role in deciding on the most appropriate data management systems and identifying the crucial data needed to perform insightful analyses. As a data engineer, you will address obstacles related to database integration and unravel complex and unstructured data sets. In this role, your responsibilities may include: Implementing and validating predictive models, as well as creating and maintaining big data-focused statistical models, incorporating various statistical and machine learning techniques. Designing and implementing various enterprise search applications, such as Elasticsearch and Splunk, to meet customer requirements. Working in an agile and collaborative environment, partnering with other scientists, engineers, consultants, and database administrators from all walks of life and disciplines to bring analytical rigor and statistical methods to the challenges of predicting behavior. Creating teams or writing programs to clean and integrate data in an efficient and reusable manner, developing predictive or prescriptive models, and evaluating model results. **Required technical and professional expertise** Intermediate SQL: Proficiency in SQL, including complex querying, database structure management, and performance optimization. Advanced Excel (Power Query): Skilled in utilizing Excel for ETL processes and data manipulation/cleaning using Power Query. Data Profiling: Experience in assessing data content, structure, and quality, creating necessary documentation. Data Quality Assurance: Capable of implementing validation rules, monitoring metrics, and conducting root cause analysis for data errors. SAP GUI/ECC Navigation: Proficient in navigating SAP systems, understanding transactions, and ECC module functions. **Preferred technical and professional experience** Experience with Power BI/Tableau for creating impactful data visualizations. Basic Python skills for conducting statistical analyses. Experience in Data Quality Informatics to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our data sets. Solid understanding of DAMA fundamentals for implementing effective data management practices. Basic experience in Business Intelligence for interpreting and communicating trends and patterns in data.
