Job Description:
The DHS CBP Program Management Office Directorate (PMOD) serves as the Independent Test Authority (ITA) for CBP acquisition programs and requires comprehensive systems engineering and test and evaluation (T&E) support. SimIS seeks a Data Collector/Analyst responsible for collecting, validating, and analyzing test data from border security systems across diverse operational environments. This role combines field data collection activities with sophisticated statistical analysis to support evidence-based recommendations for technology deployment and system optimization. The position requires expertise in data collection methodologies, statistical analysis, and the ability to work in challenging field conditions while maintaining data integrity and quality.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related analytical fieldMinimum 3 years of data collection and analysis experience, preferably in field testing environmentsAbility to obtain and maintain DHS suitability background checkAbility to work in challenging field conditions across diverse terrainsAbility to travel to remote border locations for extended periods25% travel requiredTechnical Skills:Statistical analysis software proficiency (R, SPSS, SAS, or equivalent)Data visualization and reporting tools expertiseUnderstanding of surveillance system data types and formatsKnowledge of data collection methodologies and quality assuranceExperience with database management and data repository systems
