What this job involves

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems (including UPS, generators, chillers, CRAC units, PDUs, and switchgear)Monitor building management systems (BMS), DCIM tools, and alarm platforms to ensure optimal performance and immediate response to anomaliesExecute safe switching procedures, load bank testing, and emergency response protocols in accordance with SOPs and change management policiesMaintain accurate logs, documentation, and compliance records for all operational activitiesCollaborate with client stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to support facility upgrades, audits, and incident investigationsAdhere strictly to health, safety, environmental, and security standards at all times

Interested?  An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualifications

Desired experience and technical skills

Required

Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related fieldProven experience (typically 2+ years) operating or maintaining critical infrastructure in data centres, colocation facilities, or similarly mission-critical environmentsStrong understanding of power distribution architectures (e.g., N+1, 2N), cooling methodologies, and redundancy principlesCertifications such as EPA 608, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or relevant vendor training (e.g., Vertiv, Schneider, Cummins) are highly desirableAbility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by 24/7 operationsExcellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear communication abilities
