As a Data Centre Engineer,you’ll take charge of the day-to-day management and performance of Vodafone Ireland’s data centres.You’ll be responsible for ensuring our facilities run smoothly, safely, and efficiently - overseeing everything from mechanical and electrical systems to vendor performance and capacity planning.This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that support Vodafone’s evolving technology roadmap. You’ll play a key role in implementing new designs, managing budgets, and ensuring that all operational processes meet the highest standards.Whether it’s briefing stakeholders, supporting go-live activities,or driving continuous improvement, you’ll be at the heart of our infrastructure strategy - ensuring our data centres are always ready to meet the demands of the future.Who we are looking for

 

We’re looking for a confident and experienced professional who thrives in a high-impact, fast-paced environment.

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

8+ years of experience in data centre operations or critical infrastructureA degree (or master’s) in engineering, mechanical, or electrical disciplinesStrong knowledge of telecoms technologies including Fibre, DWDM, and IP/MPLSProven experience managing vendors, budgets, and operational KPIsA process-driven mindset with strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholdersA proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to lead through changeThe confidence to work independently and the drive to deliver resultsWhen choosing us:
