The Opportunity at a glance
We’re looking for a capable and proactive Data Centre Administrator to join our operations team, supporting the availability, performance, and reliability of a large-scale virtual platform. This is a hands-on technical role, based on site at our data centre in Bedfont Lakes, where you’ll be responsible for monitoring systems, responding to incidents, maintaining infrastructure, and contributing to platform improvements and automation initiatives.
You’ll work across virtualised environments, cloud-based infrastructure, and container platforms, collaborating with global support teams and engineers to ensure smooth, secure, and efficient operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor platform availability and respond to incidents and escalations in line with established procedures Operate and support infrastructure hosted in AWS, including EC2, VPCs, and Kubernetes clusters Manage container environments and support orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker Administer and troubleshoot virtual infrastructure (VMware, NetApp, UCS) Maintain automation and observability tooling (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Git, Prometheus, Grafana) Participate in deployments, maintenance, quality assurance testing, and post-incident reviews Document data centre network layouts, system configurations, and operational changes Collaborate with internal support tiers and technical leads to resolve platform issues Maintain security and compliance through established procedures and automation Manage Active Directory accounts and support internal systems documentation Your Profile & Experience
Experience (minimum 1 year in several of the following areas):
Experience working within a data centre Supporting scalable cloud-based environments (AWS preferred) Managing and configuring virtual infrastructure and storage platforms Operating system administration (Windows Server and Linux) Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Infrastructure monitoring and observability (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana) Using automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Packer, and Git Troubleshooting across full-stack environments and infrastructure layers Writing and maintaining scripts (Python preferred) Qualifications & CertificationsRequired: CCNA Certification Desirable: Certifications in VMware, AWS, Kubernetes, or Python Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience preferred Apply Now!
