Our client, a leader in technology and data center operations, is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the Data Center Operations Department, supporting Infrastructure, Network, and Deployment Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to follow standardized procedures, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Data Center Technician**
**Location:** El Mirage, Phoenix AZ
**Pay Range:** $35/hr. - $40/hr.
**Day Shift B:** 12-hrs (Thu-Sat) & (Wed-Sat).
**The top 3 required skills for this Data Center Technician role are:**
1. **Hardware and IT Equipment Knowledge –** Understanding of servers, racks, switches, and other computer hardware components, including setup, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and replacement.
2. **Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving** – Ability to quickly identify the cause of system errors or hardware issues and resolve them following standard procedures.
3. **Attention to Detail & Procedure Compliance** – Following checklists, safety protocols, labeling, cabling standards, and escalation procedures accurately in a mission-critical environment.
**What’s the Job?**
+ Prepare, stage, set up, and perform hardware startups and shutdowns (racks, servers, hard drives, switches) following documented procedures, checklists, and deployment standards.
+ Perform post-execution quality checks to verify grounding, labeling, cabling, and staging meet safety protocols and Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
+ Monitor systems for equipment failures or performance errors and perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and replace faulty components.
+ Decommission and refresh hardware (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds) following standard procedures with minimal supervision.
+ Communicate, document, and escalate incidents to Data Center Technician Leads according to established processes.
**What’s Needed?**
• Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training required
• 8-10 years’ experience required
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time
