Data Center Shift Engineer (BO 33KV) Job ID 241547 Posted 10-Oct-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Data Centers Location(s) Batu Pahat - Johor - Malaysia, Johor Bahru - Johor - Malaysia, Kulai - Johor - Malaysia **Position Definition** Important and challenging role in the on-site Maintenance and Management of the Data Centre located in Johor. You will possess a good understanding and working experience of the various installed electrical services , operations and maintenance processes and procedures with a focus on High/Medium voltage systems. You will be proactively engaged with and be responsible for the daily operations, planned maintenance works, breakdown and corrective works. For the High voltage systems you will be the “Commander” for the critical isolation and switching works for the site. **Key Tasks** + Quality, Health, and Safety is everyones” responsibility in the workplace. + Responsible for all activities related to Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, Energy and Sustainability. + Carry out duties in accordance with Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Energy Policy, Procedure and Operating Procedures (OPs). + Responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, upkeep, maintenance and preventive maintenance of electrical utilities and equipment to the required specifications and regulations under the Energy Commission Malaysia and determined by the CMMS system’s work orders. + To manage and handle 22 KV/415V electrical equipment including operating, switching, maintaining, and troubleshooting of switch gears, transformer, and other related system. + To comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga of Electrical Supply Act and Regulations. + Timely Close out the CMMS Work Orders with proper supporting documents. + Continual monitoring of the Building Management System (BMS)/Electrical Management System (EMS) in the NOC for normal running and alarm conditions. + Provide trending and tracking of electricity consumption and to record, update and submit all sub-metering record to the energy saving committee + To work closely with the local statutory bodies (Suruhanjaya Tenaga, DOSH, NIOSH, DOE, BOMBA etc.) to ensure compliance of the plant and machinery with government regulations, License renewal and requirements. + Responsible to draft out and review Electrical related Operations Procedures like Method of Operating Procedure (MOP), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Emergency Operating Procedure (EOP). + Act as the Commander during an Electrical Incident and assist with Incident Reports and Root Cause Analysis. (RCA) + Building walk-rounds, taking meter readings from according to the Building walk around procedures + Establish and develop trusting, meaningful relationships with Facilities Managers, the Client’s staff and representatives. + Volunteer ideas / initiatives / innovations that contribute to the service levels and delivery. + Participate in all CBRE Training Programs including obtaining CDCTP Certification. **Experience and Qualifications:** + Recognised Technical Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering + Possess Certificate of Chargeman with competent certification of BO issued by Energy Commission Malaysia. + Demonstrate ability to lead a team; experienced in leading a task or project. + Have good communication and interpersonal skills as well as good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. + Able to work with minimum supervision and a team player. + Working knowledge of “Permit to work” and LOTO systems. + Understand and interpret technical documents and drawings especially Single Line Electrical Drawings.
