**Job Description**
BAE Systems is seeking an experienced IT Lab Manager to be responsible for the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of a secure, scalable, and high-availability lab environment. This role oversees Active Directory administration, VMware virtualization, SAN storage, and Cisco switching, while also leading quality assurance (QA) processes, software application testing/management/configuration control, and cybersecurity posture across the lab. The ideal candidate blends hands-on technical expertise with strong process discipline, documentation rigor, and stakeholder communication skills, servicing the needs of the United States Attorney s Office. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA) lab facilities, ensure the smooth and efficient running of lab equipment and processes while also supporting Cybersecurity and software testing activities.
The Lab Manager will:
+ Collaborate with OCIO staffs and engineering staff to coordinate testing of all new applications and major system upgrades.
+ Develop test plans:
+ Identify and manage test group participants
+ Formally reports on test results
+ Coordinates production rollout of approved products
+ Ensures security policies match production standards
+ Develops Standard Operating Procesures (SOPs) and other documentation for ongoing efforts and standardization
+ Provides support and maintenance to manage day-to-day operations of the General Integration Lab and other data centers including receipt and validation for; inventory, configuration and maintenance of all hardware, software, accessories, supplies provided as GFE
+ Develops and adheres to strict configuration management processes and maintains the test lab in serviceable condition. Equipment shall not be removed without Government approval.
+ Maintains wall-to-wall inventory annually, track Government Furnished Equipment
+ Point of Contact for GI and Lab equipment for the Data Destruction Center (drives pulled from SAN systems, etc.)
+ Cybersecurity Support - Support the Cybersecurity Staff (CSS), creating test systems and other H/W required to complete security scans in the lab prior to rollout to production. This includes set up, maintenance, monitoring and repurposing once testing is concluded.
+ Software Support - Install and prep of VMs for testing for software compatibility with existing EOUSA H/W as part of the OCIO 3 and 5, Application testing. This includes set-up, maintenance, monitoring, and repurposing once testing is concluded.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
**Minimum Candidate Requirements:**
+ Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience may be submitted for degree requirement
+ Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or other relevant discipline
**Requirements**
+ Strong technical skills:
+ Ability to work with different technology platforms - The current lab consists of a collection of IT equipment; including, but not limited to, Windows Servers, Linux Servers, VMware vCenter, and Windows Desktops that Government and contract employees use to support the various tasks initiated primarily by OCIO staffs
+ Knowledge of Cybersecurity related H/W set up and requirements
+ Knowledge of VM set up for software testing environments
+ Maintain inventory (Location, models, OS versions, Architecture diagrams as applicable
+ Manage lab systems (workstations, laptops, printers, servers, ESXi hosts, SANs, switches, etc).
+ Leadership and organizational skills:
+ Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills
+ Strong project management skills
+ Potential required travel up to 30% may be necessary to EOUSA Data Centers (COOP) for scheduled and unscheduled visits for system/component installation, deinstallation, and servicing
+ Requirement for ability to lift to 30 lbs.
+ Performs security related tasks which include documentation, vulnerability scan review, assessment support, patch management, and auditing as required
+ Familiarity with industry and compliance standards and federal security requirements (e.g., FISMA/NIST, DOJ/USAO policies)
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
Security Requirements - Must be able to obtain up to a Secret clearance
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
