What this job involvesAs our Data Center MEP Project Manager, you will serve as the primary technical liaison with clients, leading project oversight and proactively identifying risks while proposing innovative solutions. You will provide comprehensive consulting on construction projects, monitoring technical aspects, planning, economics, quality assurance, and health & safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Client Management
Serve as primary client contact for project monitoring, risk assessment, and solution development
Lead feasibility studies covering technical, economic, and planning aspects of data center projects
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage long lead equipment procurement
Develop project management plans (PMP) and define strategic project approaches
Technical & Procurement Management
Manage Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment oversight
Develop procurement strategies and manage project/construction package tenders
Lead supplier selection processes and present recommendations to clients
Prepare technical documentation for tenders, evaluate proposals, and issue award recommendations
Project Execution & Control
Organize and lead regular project monitoring meetings
Prepare meeting minutes and periodic progress reports
Control costs, schedules, change orders, and billing processes
Manage and oversee commissioning of facilities and systems
Desired skills and experienceEducation & Experience
Degree in Industrial Engineering with specialization in electrical installations, mechanical engineering, or similar technical discipline
Minimum 4 years of experience in design and construction management of critical infrastructures (hospitals or data centers with minimum 5MW capacity)
10+ years of experience in the construction sector managing projects and works
Experience working within companies with hierarchical structures and established internal procedures
Technical Expertise
Comprehensive knowledge of regulations and laws related to mechanical, electrical, water, and other building systems
Strong analytical skills for risk detection and failure point identification
Proven ability to develop and propose technical solutions
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Project/Primavera, quantity surveying software, and BIM 360
Leadership & Communication
Demonstrated leadership capabilities to achieve objectives and ensure milestone compliance
Collaborative team player with strong multidisciplinary team management skills
Excellent communication skills for client reporting and decision-making processes
Fluency in both spoken and written English and French (essential for Luxembourg operations)
Organized analytical approach with structured reporting and information transmission abilities
Strong decision-making criteria and ability to prioritize project needs
