Our client, a leading organization in data center operations, is seeking a dedicated Data Center Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Facilities Technician, you will be an integral part of the Facilities Support team, ensuring the reliable operation of critical electrical and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will enable you to thrive in this dynamic environment.
**Job Title:** Data Center Facilities Technician
**Location:** Long Beach, CA
**Pay Range:** $30/hr. - $33/hr.
**Shift:** Sunday - Wednesday 12 PM - 10 PM
Candidate should be open to an earlier shift if needed
**What's the Job?**
+ Perform daily inspections and maintenance of Mechanical & Engineering (M&E) systems and technical equipment within the data center.
+ Assist with preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS, generators, chillers, HVAC, and BMS systems.
+ Ensure compliance with safety policies, environmental regulations, and quality standards during all maintenance activities.
+ Oversee third-party vendors, ensuring adherence to established processes, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
+ Contribute to the development of work processes, safety assessments, and documentation to support operational excellence.
**What's Needed?**
+ 2-4 years of experience in mechanical or electrical fields such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems.
+ Strong background in either HVAC or Electrical systems.
+ Knowledge of emergency response procedures and standby activities.
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred.
