Data Center Category Sourcing Manager
Supply Chain Procurement (RFP/RFQ)
Iron Mountain Data Centers is seeking an experienced procurement professional to assume responsibility for sourcing mission-critical data center equipment. This role will lead end-to-end sourcing activities, support large-scale construction programs, partnering closely with internal stakeholders to ensure cost-effective, timely, and reliable supply solutions. The Category Sourcing Manager will manage competitive sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs), analyze market and supplier trends, and develop category-specific strategies that align with business objectives related to cost, lead time, quality, and risk mitigation.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration, with demonstrated experience supporting complex capital projects or infrastructure environments.

Lead strategic sourcing activities supporting mission-critical data center construction and expansion projectsPlan, execute, and manage competitive sourcing events including RFPs, RFQs, RFIsDevelop, implement, and continuously improve category sourcing strategies at a regional and global levelKey Skills, Requirements and Competencies:
5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, or a related fieldProven experience managing RFx processes and competitive bid sourcing for complex equipment requirementsExperienced in developing and implementing standard operating procedures, process documents and workflowsProficient in gathering metrics, tracking savings, and preparing clear, data-driven reports for stakeholdersExhibits problem-solving skills, makes business recommendations and able to thrive in an ambiguous work environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience in data center or infrastructure service provider a plusPartner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction, Finance, and Legal teams to align sourcing strategies with continuity of supply, budget, and project delivery requirementsIdentify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers to increase competition, improve resilience, and support long-term growthTrack savings, cost avoidance, and other value metrics; prepare reports and presentations for leadership and business stakeholdersCreate and implement process workflows with a focus on cycle time reduction
